Felina Garcia
Felina id married with four children and two grandsons. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in the Philippines. It has always been Felina's desire to be a teacher and share the knowledge that she has. Felina became a high school teacher in the Philippines and taught for more than ten years.
Teaching young children is a wonderful experience for her and sending your children to school at a very young age is a great experience for them. In a Montessori environment, the focus is in personal behaviors, such as grace and courtesy. Eventually they will become young leaders, beginning readers and curious mathematicians. Felina believes in Maria Montessori’s philosophy, thus the reason why she sent her own children to a Montessori School in the Philippines. According to Maria, the aim of the child’s work is “the working.” Their work satisfies an inner need, and in order the self-discipline and free choice to be developed in the child, the child must choose their own work and work on it alone. We must also understand that children learn at their own pace.
Felina feels that it is very important that all the children have a positive attitude about the environment they spend their day in. Good self-esteem goes hand in hand with developing a love for learning and joy of discovery. She looks forward for working with your child throughout the year!
